Twice monthly, each grade level will hold "Devouring Books Lunch Bunch" meetings in the school library. Students are invited to join Mrs. O'Toole in the area of the library with the round tables for lunch and some great reads. During the first meeting of every month, Mrs. O'Toole will booktalk a wide range of terrific YA books, in various genres, that appeal to boys and girls. Students will leave with small handouts on the texts presented. During the second meeting of the month, the floor is open for students to talk about books with Mrs. O'Toole and their classmates -- particularly if they have read one of the books Mrs. O'Toole recommended at the first meeting of the month. Students will have the chance to swap titles and get recommendations from their peers on what to read next. There is no formal membership in the group or requirement to attend, so there's no need to worry about missed meetings. Students may come whenever they like and feel free to bring friends! Mrs. O'Toole recommends that students pack lunch rather than buy on "Devouring Books" meeting days if possible in order to eliminate the time spent in the cafeteria line. Oh, one last thing -- Mrs. O'Toole supplies dessert. :) Locate your grade level's meeting days below:

Meeting Dates:
6th Grade - 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month
7th Grade - 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month
8th Grade - 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month
